Swansea University’s Senior Management team have today announced a series of additional investments made to areas that will directly have an impact on student life.
In a statement, Vice Chancellor Richard B. Davies said: “The University is pleased to announce significant additional investment to the Student Experience. Following a successful recruitment round, in excess of £1,000,000 has been released across a wide range of areas which will have a major positive impact on students.”
Pro Vice Chancellor Alan Speight said: “We will be funding enhancements in Learning Resources, Careers, teaching spaces, and student support services. We have worked closely with the Students’ Union in identifying priorities and we will be releasing more detail about how this resource will be spent early in 2014.”
Students’ Union President Zahid Raja said, “This is fantastic news! The additional investment will go far to enhance the support students receive whilst at University. The close relationship that exists between colleagues in the University and the Students’ Union has enabled us to work together in partnership to help identify areas in need for additional resource – I look forward to seeing how this relationship develops.”
