What is My Login?

Each Swansea University student has an account which allows you to login to Swansea Uni web services such as email, Blackboard and so on, this same login can be used here.

Your Intranet Login Username is your University student number. For example a student with a student number of 765432 would have an user name of "765432".

Your initial University password is EITHER your date of birth in the format DD/MM/YYYY OR a combination of your student number and date of birth in the format studentno/DD/MM/YYYY, so a student born on the Second of January 1994 would have either of the following passwords: 02/01/1994 OR 765432/02/01/1994.

Officer Blogs

Sports Officer

The Sports Officer is focused on overseeing the running of sports clubs on campus and ensuring that sports team members gain fair representation and support from the Union and University. Imogen is the person to see if you need any advice or information on sports clubs at University.

‘This is a very important year for sport moving into the Students’ Union therefore I want to make the transition as smooth as possible, I also want to support small and developing clubs so that they can get as much out of sport as possible.’

Olympic Fever

Over the past few weeks, the greatest sporting event in the world was held in London. The Olympics brings together all nations, religions and cultures. No matter where you are from, you are respected by the rest of the world for the sporting talent you can demonstrate.

None of the athletes are judged by their backgrounds, which makes it one of the greatest shows of unity across the world.

With the Olympics being held in London (one of the most multicultural cities in the world) it is the perfect host to bring out sporting excellence from around the world.

Congratulations should go to one of our students, Georgia Davies, who we saw compete in the 100m backstroke and made it to the semi-finals.

Even though Olympic fever is already starting to fade, we should remember the Paralympic Games are just starting, and we should celebrate them with the same enthusiasm!

A warm welcome from the SU goes out to the Mexico and New Zealand teams who are staying and training at Swansea before the games. We hope you enjoy it, and best of luck.

Swansea University also sees three of its students compete in the Paralympics this year. Gemma Almond and Matt Whorwood will compete in the swimming and David Smith in the Boccia, a precision sport similar to bowls.

Good Luck to all three of you, we will be cheering you along from the other end of the M4!
