About your SU

As Swansea University students, you are all now automatically members of the Students Union. So, let us explain a little bit about us…

As your Students’ Union we are here to ensure your time at university is as enjoyable as possible. Through work across Bay and Singleton campuses we strive to ensure all our students feel heard and are involved in all aspects of university life.

Through us you can join a society or sports club, become part of our student staff team, attend some of the biggest student events in the academic year and so much more. We offer our students 4 on-campus shops, 3 bars and run over 280 events every year!

Fancy a chat in person? Here's where you can find us.

How we operate

We’re strategically run by trustees who include the 6 elected full-time officers and 3 external trustees. External trustees are volunteers usually selected for the knowledge, skills, and experience that they can bring to the Students’ Union. They work closely with our Senior Management Team which includes our Chief Executive Officer and the Head of Finance and Operations both of which make sure that the Students’ Union is at the best it can be every day.

To find out more about how we’re governed head to our Articles of Governance or to find out more about how you can get involved with shaping the way we work, email your Student Voice team at student.voice@swansea-union.co.uk
