Yo Everyone,

Havent bloged in a while but wanted to quickly hightlight an event run by Swansea University Conservation and Ecology Society, to raise awareness about pollution within our drainage system.

	Here is what they wrote:

"This is an excellent awareness-raising campaign courtesy of NRW. It is here to remind people that a lot of drains actually lead to streams and rivers; and in our case, the sea!

We will spend some time spraying yellow fish next to drains using non-toxic paint, aiming to promote awareness and prevent pollution down drains!

Here is a link describing the initiative:
http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/pollution/water/120363.aspx"

If you fancy getting invloved check out their facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/674045755974761/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming

Hope your all enjoying the warm weather and look out for the yellow fish around campus!

It's that time of year again, we all head on home to bring on the festivities!!!

But before you all embark on your journeys I just wanted to remind you to:

Switch off all your lights (if your off campus, might be a good idea to leave a light to make burglars think there is possibly someone around)

Turn the heating off (or onto thermostat with a low temperature if your worried about bursting pipes)

Shut all your windows (and lock them if you can)

Hide all your expensive items from view (may even be good idea to close your curtains)

Turn off all electrical items, including chargers, printers and anything you don't need on

Take out your rubbish, so you don't come back to a stinking place afterward (might be worth doing that bit / mountain of washing up as well)

And just a quick fact: "In 2012 the campus used enough electricity to power 4,778 homes during the christmas period".

Ho Ho Ho...Hope you all have an amazing christmas, and don't get too bogged down with revision for exams...see you in January!

	- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Mae e wedi cyrraedd yr amser yna o’r flwyddyn unwaith eto, rydym i gyd yn mynd adref i fwynhau’r wyl Nadolig!!!

Ond cyn i chi gyd ddechrau ar eich taith hoffwn eich atgoffa chi i:

Diffoddwch eich goleuadau i gyd ( os ydych chi ddim ar gampws, efallai ei fod yn syniad da i adael un golau arno er mwyn twyllo lladron i feddwl fod rhywun dal yn y ty).

Diffoddwch y gwresogi ( neu cadwch eich thermostat ar dymheredd isel os ydych yn poeni am bibau yn byrstio).

Caewch bob ffenestr ( a chlowch nhw os yn bosibl).

Cuddiwch eich holl eitemau gwerthfawr ( efallai ei fod yn syniad da i gau’r llenni).

Diffoddwch bob eitem drydanol, gan gynnwys ‘chargers’, argraffwyr, ac unrhyw beth sydd ddim angen gadael arno.

Gwnewch yn siwr eich bod yn cael gwared â eich sbwriel, fel eich bod ddim yn dychwelyd i rywle ddrewllyd ar ôl gwyliau’r Nadolig ( efallai fe fydd yn syniad da i olchi'r mynydd o lestri yna hefyd)

Dim ond ffaith gyflym: “Yn 2012 gwnaeth y campws defnyddio digon o drydan i roi pwer i 4,778 o gartrefi yn ystod cyfnod y Nadolig”.

Ho Ho Ho… Gobeithio eich bod i gyd yn cael Nadolig anhygoel, a pheidiwch gael eich hun yn rhy bryderus gyda adolygu ar gyfer yr arholiadau… gwelwn ni chi yn Ionawr!
