12 revision tips to get you through exams

  1. Timetable your work

    There’s not much worse than realising you’ve let it too late before revising for an exam. Apps like My Study Plan will help you break down your work and help with forward planning.
     

  2. Snacks!

    Don’t forget to eat! (And look out for some free #StudyAid food around campus…)
     

  3. Take regular breaks

    Watching a 20-minute episode on Netflix is actually justified during exam season! It’ll refresh your brain and help you concentrate when you get back to work.
     

  4. Do some exercise

    Get up and go for a walk to reduce stress and tiredness and help with your wellbeing.
     

  5. Treat yo’ self

    What’s more motivating than a revision reward every now and again?
     

  6. Easy on the caffeine

    As tempting as it may be, it won’t help you remember your notes any quicker.
     

  7. Get some sleep

    Lack of sleep messes with your memory. Don’t undo all your hard work with an all-nighter before the exam!
     

  8. Use colourful notes

    As well as looking pretty, colour coding and highlighting sections will help you find them quicker later on.
     

  9. Test yourself

    Or get a friend to test you. There’s no better way to practice for the real thing.
     

  10. Read your notes before bed

    That way, your brain will retain any new information better.
     

  11. Drink plenty of water

    Hydrate your brain.
     

  12. Put your phone on aeroplane mode
    Don’t let any distractions get in your way! Allocate breaks to check your phone and make a cuppa.

    Does dim lot yn waeth na sylweddoli bod dim digon o amser ar ôl cyn eich arholiad. Mae apiau fel My Study Plan yn helpu wrth dorri’r gwaith i adrannau dealladwy a chynllunio ymlaen llaw.
     

  2. Byrbrydau

    Peidiwch ag anghofio i fwyta! (A chadwch lygad am fwyd #StudyAid am ddim o gwmpas y campws…)
     

  3. Cymerwch egwyliau

    Mae’n iawn i wylio episod 20 munud ar Netflix yn ystod cyfnod arholiadau! Bydd hi’n adnewyddu’ch ymennydd a helpu wrth ganolbwyntio wrth fynd nol at y gwaith.
     

  4. Ymarfer corff

    Codwch ac ewch am dro i leihau straen a blinder a helpu gyda’ch lles
     

  5. Prynwch rywbeth neis

    Beth sy’n fwy cymhellol na gwobr bob hyn a hyn?
     

  6. Peidiwch ag yfed gormod o gaffein

    Mae’n ddeniadol, ond bydd hi ddim yn eich helpu i gofio’ch nodiadau’n gyflymach.
     

  7. Ewch i gysgu

    Mae diffyg cwsg yn effeithio ar eich cof. Peidiwch â dadwneud yr holl waith caled gyda noson heb gwsg cyn yr arholiad!
     

  8. Defnyddiwch nodiadau lliwgar

    Yn ogystal ag edrych yn bert, mae nodiadau lliwgar ac uwcholeuo adrannau yn helpu wrth chwilio amdanynt nes ymlaen.
     

  9. Rhowch brawf i'ch hun

    Neu gofynnwch i ffrind. Does dim ffordd well i ymarfer am y peth go iawn.
     

  10. Darllenwch y nodiadau cyn mynd i’r gwely

    Fel hyn, bydd eich ymennydd yn cofio gwybodaeth newydd yn well.
     

  11. Yfwch ddigon o ddwr

    Hydradwch eich ymennydd.
     

  12. Peidiwch ag edrych ar eich ffôn

    Peidwich â gadael i unrhyw beth ymyrru ar eich gwaith! Gosodwch egwyliau i edrych ar eich ffôn ac i wneud paned.
