Proposal to Restructure PTO Team

We are seeking consultation from our student members for a proposed restructure of our Part-Time Officer (PTO) team.

Your Students’ Union is proposing a change to the way we function to better represent you.

We have been evaluating the roles and responsibilities of our elected volunteer Part-Time Officers (PTOs) to bring the best representation, engagement, and experience possible.

The Student Voice Team undertook a review of existing PTO roles and has developed this proposed restructure to better reflect and represent the student body and encourage more students to run for Part-Time Officer roles.

The revised structure will change the number of our Part-Time Officers to ten. The new Part-Time Officer team would include:

  • Race Inclusion Officer
  • Environment and Ethics Officer
  • General Secretary
  • LGBT+ Officer
  • Students with Disabilities Officer
  • International Officer
  • Trans and Non-Binary Officer
  • Women’s Officer
  • Atypical Student Experience Officer (for representing mature, commuting, and students with caring responsibilities)
  • Postgraduate Officer

With these changes, we are aiming to better allocate our resources and provide appropriate support to our elected officers and enable them to represent their student demographics, run high-impact campaigns, and build and develop respective communities for an enhanced student experience during their time at the Union and University.

  • Swyddog yr Amgylchedd a Moeseg
  • Ysgrifennydd Cyffredinol

  • Swyddog Myfyrwyr ag Anableddau
  • Swyddog Rhyngwladol
  • Swyddog Traws a Di-deuaidd
  • Swyddog y Merched
  • Swyddog Profiad Myfyriwr Annodweddiadol (ar gyfer cynrychioli myfyrwyr hyn, myfyrwyr sy’n cymudo a myfyrwyr sydd â chyfrifoldebau gofalu)
  • Swyddog Ôl-raddedig

Gyda’r newidiadau hyn, ein nod yw dyrannu ein hadnoddau’n well a darparu cymorth priodol i’n swyddogion etholedig a’u galluogi i gynrychioli demograffeg eu myfyrwyr, cynnal ymgyrchoedd effaith uchel, adeiladu a datblygu cymunedau priodol ar gyfer profiad gwell i fyfyrwyr yn ystod eu hamser yn yr Undeb a’r Brifysgol.
