Sport Swansea Student Executives
Sport Swansea Executives assist the Sports Officer and Sport Swansea Staff in the successful running of student sport. These positions include Team Leader, Charity & Fundraising, Media & Events, and General Executive positions.
Each post comes with the perks of free Sport Swansea membership, parking permit at the National Pool and gym membership, along with other benefits throughout the year. Please note benefits may be withdrawn if the commitment levels demonstrated do not meet the expectation throughout the year.
Sport Swansea Team Leader (x1)
Chair weekly review and planning meetings on a Wednesday morning to ensure the delivery of all fixtures and events
Lead the review and planning meetings when the Sports Officer is unavailable
Work with the Sports officer to action any points raised in the review and planning meeting
Involved in organising events including but not limited to Fresher’s Fayre, Ladies Day, Charity events, SITC2020, Varsity and Sport Swansea Awards
Assist with membership purchase / collection and Wednesday buses when not competing
Any other duties seen necessary by Sport Swansea and the Students Union

Sport Swansea Charity & Fundraising Executive (x3)
Collate all club fundraising totals and encourage and promote fundraising activity such as Quiz nights, Horse / Hound Racing, ½ Marathons, Movember, Charity Matches / Games.
Encourage the involvement of Clubs and their membership in our new Community engagement programme ‘Schools In the Community 2020’ (SITC2020) aimed at increasing opportunities for children in sport
Attend specific meetings where and when possible such as finance or disciplinary
Involved in organising events including but not limited to Fresher’s Fayre, Ladies Day, Charity events, SITC2020, Varsity and Sport Swansea Awards
Assist with membership purchase / collection and Wednesday buses when not competing
Any other duties seen necessary by Sport Swansea, the Sports Officer and the Students Union

Sport Swansea Media & Events Executive (x3) – Social Media, Photography & Videography and Graphic Design
Assist with the production of advertising materials and capturing media coverage of all events including but not limited to Fresher’s Fayre, Ladies Day, Charity events, SITC2020, Varsity and Sport Swansea Awards (Social Media)
Manage the Social Media account on Wednesdays and through the week, developing ideas to further the media presence of Sport Swansea and its member Clubs in order to maximise the exposure of all sports (Social Media)
Take photos / video of Wednesday fixtures and co-ordinate with Social Media Exec when publishing on Social Media platforms as directed by the Sport Swansea Media Coordinator (Photography & Videography)
Assist with the production of any media & advertising / slides surrounding key events, Welsh Varsity & the Sport Swansea Awards (Graphic Design)
Assist with the marketing and social media weekly and yearly plan as directed by the Media & Events Co-ordinator
Have access to the Sport Swansea Twitter, Instagram & Facebook pages to advertise and promote fixtures & results and respond to queries submitted via the various platforms
Assist with membership purchase and collection throughout the year
Any other duties seen necessary by Sport Swansea, the Sports Officer and the Students Union

Sport Swansea General Executive (x5)
Ensure the professional running of Sport Swansea on a Wednesday and at events run by Sport Swansea
Assist with the delivery of all events including but not limited to Fresher’s Fayre, Ladies Day, Charity events, SITC2020, Varsity and Sport Swansea Awards
Engage and develop current and new initiatives to promote Sport Swansea and its member clubs within the community

Mae Swyddogion Gweithredol Chwaraeon Abertawe yn helpu’r Swyddog Chwaraeon a staff Chwaraeon Abertawe wrth gynnal chwaraeon i fyfyrwyr. Mae’r rolau hyn yn cynnwys Arweinydd y Tîm, Elusennau a Chodi Arian, y Cyfryngau a Digwyddiadau a Swyddogion Gweithredol cyffredinol.
Mae pob rôl yn dod gyda manteision fel aelodaeth Chwaraeon Abertawe am ddim, trwydded barcio yn y Pwll Cenedlaethol ac aelodaeth i’r gampfa, gyda manteision eraill drwy gydol y flwyddyn. Gall y manteision gael eu tynnu os nad yw’r lefelau o ymrwymiad yn cwrdd â’r disgwyl drwy gydol y flwyddyn.
