The United Nations has launched its 75th anniversary dialogues, the largest, most inclusive conversation on the role of global cooperation in building a better future for all. The initiative will see the UN spark dialogues throughout 2020 in diverse settings across the world.
Our Societies and Services Officer, Inês, is organising a Zoom meeting to gather your views on the United Nations to feed into this global conversation.
Through UN75, the United Nations will encourage people to put their heads together to define how enhanced international cooperation can help realize a better world by 2045, the UN’s 100th birthday.
While UN75 seeks to drive the conversation in all segments of society - from classrooms to boardrooms, parliaments to village halls - it will place special emphasis on youth and those whose voices are too often marginalised. The aim is to reach people from all communities and walks of life.
The views and ideas that are generated will be presented to world leaders and senior UN officials at a high-profile event during the 75th Session of the General Assembly in September 2020 and disseminated online and through partners continuously.

Mae'r Cenhedloedd Unedig wedi lansio deialogau ar gyfer eu pen-blwydd yn 75 oed - y sgwrs fwyaf, fwyaf cynhwysol ar rôl cydweithrediad byd-eang wrth adeiladu dyfodol gwell i bawb. Bydd y fenter yn gweld y Cenhedloedd Unedig yn sbarduno deialogau trwy gydol 2020 mewn lleoliadau amrywiol ledled y byd.
Mae ein Swyddog Cymdeithasau a Gwasanaethau, Inês, yn trefnu cyfarfod Zoom i gasglu eich barn ar y Cenhedloedd Unedig i fwydo i'r sgwrs fyd-eang hon.
Trwy UN75, bydd y Cenhedloedd Unedig yn annog pobl i ddod at ei gilydd i ddiffinio sut y gall gwell cydweithredu rhyngwladol helpu i wireddu byd gwell erbyn 2045, sef pen-blwydd y Cenhedloedd Unedig yn 100 oed.
Tra bod UN75 yn ceisio sbarduno sgwrs ym mhob rhan o'r gymdeithas - o ystafelloedd dosbarth i ystafelloedd bwrdd, seneddau i neuaddau pentref - bydd yn rhoi pwyslais arbennig ar ieuenctid a'r rhai sy’n cael eu gwthio i'r cyrion yn rhy aml. Y nod yw cyrraedd pobl o bob cymuned a chefndir.
Bydd y safbwyntiau a’r syniadau a gynhyrchir yn cael eu cyflwyno i arweinwyr y byd ac uwch swyddogion y Cenhedloedd Unedig mewn digwyddiad proffil uchel yn ystod 75ain Sesiwn y Cynulliad Cyffredinol ym mis Medi 2020, a’u lledaenu ar-lein a thrwy bartneriaid yn barhaus.
