Here at the SU, we have a zero-tolerance policy to hate crime.

So, what exactly is hate crime?

The term ‘hate crime’ can be used to describe a range of criminal behaviour, where the perpetrator is motivated by hostility or demonstrates hostility towards the victims disability, race, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity.

How can you report it?

Our Advice & Support Centre is a third party hate crime reporting centre. This means that you can come and see our advisor team and let them know if you’ve experienced or witnessed any hate crime, if you feel uncomfortable talking to the police.

You can report any hate crime here or get in touch with our advice and support centre.
