Gwyn's ‘to-do’ list (manifesto):

  • Improve access to sports at Swansea
  • Create a interdepartmental sports league
  • Support and promote the university PALs system
  • Help clubs get out of debt through training and support
  • Offer coaching and refereeing courses available to all students, not just those already in sports teams
  • Provide sport coaches with recognition and development
  • Support new clubs though increased help/support
  • Implement a Varsity discount for players
  • More water points on Campus and the sports village
  • Improve access to both campus gyms and expand the Bay Campus gym
  • Make floodlighting accessible so that clubs can practice at all times
  • Make GWA merchandise available to purchase on campus
  • Support charities and campaigns such as Movember, Community Projects and Ladies Day

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversees the running of all University sports clubs

Makes sure all sports club members are fairly represented

Promotes sport and exercise at University
