Congratulations… you’re coming to Swansea!
Every student at Swansea is a part of Swansea Students’ Union, and we exist to support you during your time here and make sure you get the best University experience possible.
We want to make sure you get the most out of your education, but also that you get involved in activities, meet new people, have fun and come out of your shell!
We're a democratic organisation and independent of the University, run by a team of seven elected full time officers, twelve part time officers and a team of staff and volunteers. We run a whole host of services designed to make your time at Swansea easier… putting on over 400 events a year, offering over 120 sports clubs and societies, a student radio station, advice on welfare and housing, and we can even do your washing for you.
We’re basically all about you, so make us your first starting point at University!

Activities and Services
Swansea Students’ Union exists to make uni life easier, so we run a wide range of services to make sure this happens!
All profits from our commercial services go back in to support student welfare and experience. So buying a sandwich with us, or a drink in JCs you're helping to improve your time at Swansea.
Swansea is in What Uni’s top 10 for Clubs and Societies in the UK and we offer over 120 different student-led activities for you to be involved in. Clubs and societies are a great place to make friends when you come to University and the best opportunity you’ll ever have to try something new. Whether it’s a sport you loved at the Olympics or a hobby you want to take up; our activities will provide you with what you need. For more information on activities contact Josh or Imogen.
Freshers' Fayre
An event not to be missed, showcasing the fantastic services provided by the Union. It provides a great opportunity for new and returning students to sign up to sports clubs and societies. Over 120 clubs and societies will be at the fayre so there really is something for everyone.
Added to all this, numerous local and national businesses attend the fayre giving out freebies and info, so come along and see what student life has to offer!
