Why should I represent you?
As a mental health student myself and an individual with 5+ years experience as a student union rep and college president, I know and value the importance of having a voice.
I can not promise the world to you, but I can assure you that I will diligently strive to have your voices heard and your requests met in our field of study when best possible. If I'm unable to solve the issue myself, I will unsure that I find the right individual that can help you with your request or concern.
If you just need someone to talk to, as we are in hard times, I will respond to your emails in fast time and be able communicate with you, and be a friendly hand as we must also look and care for our own mental well-being.
Why am I standing?
I have always valued education and being a beacon of support for my fellow class mates, and having the ability to help students by making sure that their voices are heard and ensuring I bring us together so we are in unison and able to get the best support with our course and university issues. I also know the importance of having our voices heard, as I have personally dealt with a number of difficult hurdles from; extenuating circumstances, lack of resources, loneliness etc. So I can not emphasise the importance of having the right amount of support. I am standing for those of us all in the course and those of us that have had hard times, those of us that want to have a smooth path through these 3 years and those that just need a friend or a helping hand.
