Getting involved in a society is a great way of meeting new people and meeting people who share similar interests as you. With over 150 societies available there is plenty to choose from, with many societies offering taster days for new students to attend and get a feel for the society before signing up. Joining a society, despite being a lot of fun, also offers communities of support for students as well as transferable skills for future employment if you land yourself a space on the committee!

Here at the Student Union, we have an extensive list of societies available to our students. However, if you can’t find one that’s perfect for you be sure to let us know! We make sure the process of starting new societies is easy and straightforward for our students to ensure everyone can find the right group for them.
