Nominations are now closed, thank you to everyone who put themselves forward and everyone who encouraged others to stand! With the first big stage of Elections complete, here’s what you can expect over the next few weeks as we head toward choosing your next Full Time Officers.

Candidate Announcements

Very soon, we’ll be announcing the full list of candidates standing in this year’s Elections. You’ll be able to see who’s running for each role, read their manifestos, and start thinking about who best represents your priorities and ideas.

Keep an eye on the Students’ Union website and our socials, candidate information will be published there first.

  • Hear candidates speak about their priorities
  • Understand their plans for improving student life
  • Ask your own questions

Whether you're deeply invested or just Election‑curious, this is the best way to get informed before voting opens.

Once you’ve met the candidates (or read up on them!), it’s time to cast your vote.

Voting is quick, simple, and entirely online. It takes less than a few minutes and makes a huge difference to student life at Swansea.

  • Help you understand the voting process
  • Point you toward candidate info
  • Answer questions about roles, voting systems, or anything Election-related

Why Your Vote Matters

Your Students’ Union is shaped by students and Elections decide who leads it. The students you elect influence everything from academic changes and cost‑of‑living support to events, campaigns, and the direction of the SU. By voting, you help make sure the issues you care about are heard and acted on. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it genuinely makes a difference to student life at Swansea.

 

Results Night

Once voting closes, we’ll be counting every vote and announcing your new Full-Time Officers at Results Night. It’s always a high‑energy event full of celebration and student community spirit. More details will be released soon — stay tuned!
