Rugby League

 

Rugby league has always been an inclusive sport for people from all backgrounds and all abilities and here at Swansea University, it is the same. Our aim, since our establishment in 1977, has been to have a laugh whilst playing the sport we love.

 

Many of our members have never played Rugby League before coming to the University and have quickly adapted to the fun fast-paced nature of the game. Through opportunities on offer with Rugby League at Swansea University, we have had a number of players go on to play internationally at both the Men's and Student's levels. 

 

We train twice a week on Tuesdays from 6:30-8pm and Fridays from 5:00-6:30pm on the Sketty Lane 3G rugby pitches. Our first team currently plays in the BUCS Southern Tier One and our development team plays local Universities and intramurals. We also have a social every Wednesday starting on Wind Street and ending… well that’s up to you!
