Info
Swansea University has a thriving club sport scene with over 50 clubs to choose from. Whether you’re into rugby, football, hockey, netball, or something different like surfing, sailing, or fencing, there’s a club for every interest and ability.
Clubs are student-led but supported by Swansea University Sport, creating welcoming environments where you can develop your skills, stay active, and meet new people. Many clubs compete in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competitions, giving you the chance to represent Swansea University nationally. Weekly fixtures, training, and the excitement of Varsity against Cardiff are highlights of the calendar.
If competition isn’t your focus, we also run fun, social sessions and intramural leagues, meaning you can get involved at your own pace. Affordable membership, access to great facilities, and a strong sense of community make Swansea’s sports clubs one of the best ways to enhance your student experience.
How Groups are Governed
Our student groups are run by students, for students with support from the Students’ Union to help them grow and succeed. While they’re not official representatives of the Union, they follow our policies to make sure their activities are safe, inclusive, and positive for the wider community.
