Snowriders

Swansea Snowriders is a student-run Snowsports Club that welcomes everyone, be it for social, leisure, or competitive reasons. We cater to all abilities and aspects of snowsports, from lessons, race training, and freestyle training at Mount Pembrey.

Trips:

We are working with the best travel company this winter, NUCO, on two amazing trips, taking over 200+ students to the Alps each year:

• Val Thorens (14th–21st of December 2024)
• And maybe the biggest ski trip in the history of ski trips, yet to be revealed 🤫 (12th–18th of April 2025

Major Events:

• BUDS in Edinburgh (14th–16th November)
• The Dome Series (TBC)
• Kings events held throughout the year
• Regular socials!!

Dry Slopes:

• We offer social dry slope sessions every other week with lessons and recreational skiing/snowboarding for £18.
• This also includes free entry to Bambu afterwards and good vibes all night long.
• Once a month, we provide race and freestyle training for those looking to improve their skills with help from our race captain.

Socials:

• We bring the fun every week with a variety of socials, from the chaotic fun of Pub Golf to a festive Christmas meal.
• Regular themed nights after our dry slope sessions.
• Some might say we're more of a drinking society than a snowsports club—but why not be both? Whether you're on the slopes or the dance floor, you can expect unforgettable nights out with us!

Wellbeing:

• We care about our members' well-being and hold sober socials at least once a month.
• Our welfare officers, Amy Marshall and Toby Jeffries, are always here for you. If you ever need to contact them, feel free to reach out.
• If you'd like to report something anonymously, there's a reporting form available in our Linktree.

Memberships:

• Returners: Access to all socials, trips, and full voting rights.
• Freshers: Access to all the same benefits as returners, plus a snazzy t-shirt.
• Social: Access to all socials and trips, but no access to dry slopes or voting. A Sports Swansea membership is not required.
