Welcome to the Swansea University Triathlon Club!
We're a welcoming and sociable club holding regular training sessions across the week that welcome all abilities, from first time swimmers to experienced triathletes. We represent the university at races across the UK, across the year. As a member of our club you'll get involved in a variety of exciting activities including sea and open water swimming, bike rides surrounded by the natural beauty of the Gower and sunset runs along the beach to The Mumbles. We train our members at the Wales National Pool, technically the only olympic sized pool in Wales! As well as regular exciting training, all our members are invited to take part in a whole host of events outside of Swansea each year. These include: The Abersoch Training weekend and all of our BUCS races (duathlon and triathlon). Our Training Weekend is held each year, inviting our members on a weekend away to focus on training and getting to know each other. Last year we visited the stunning seaside town of Abersoch, North Wales. The trip covered all three disciplines and finished with a house party of epic proportions. (See the video above!) We're a very sociable club and encourage all our members to join in as much as they can with all our activities.
Joining the club:
Once you've gotten in touch the next step is to purchase your membership (you'll need sport swansea membership first!). This will cover the cost of running the club and includes discount travel to events and allows us to subsidise the cost of pool hire. Now that you've paid membership, you'll be added to our private facebook group. This is where everything is orgainised; from training to socials and everything inbetween.

Training Schedule:
Please note, members are not required to attend all training sessions. The club allows members to take training as serious or as casual as they like, with no pressure but a supportive atmosphere. (Some of us are just here for the socials!)
Monday: Swimming, 07:00, WNP
Tuesday: Cycling (chain gang), 19:30, Amazon AND Social run, 19:00, Fulton House
Wednesday: Cycling (Group Ride), 14:00, Fulton House
Thursday: Swimming, 21:00 , WNP Reception
Friday : Running (intervals), 19:00, Fulton House
Saturday : Park Run, 09:00, 360 Beach Cafe AND Group Ride, 09:00, Fulton House
Sunday : Funday - includes: Open water swims, Beach BBQs and days out.

Socials
We alternate between sober and "not-so" sober socials each week. In the past, our sober socials have included laser tag, Limitless Trampoline Park and beach BBQs. Our other, themed socials are held on the famous Wind St. Our socials are a great way to get to know your fellow triathletes outside of training and a lot of fun! With no pressure to drink but with all the encouragement to join in the fun, our socials are organised by the very friendly Joe Harper, who's got a lot of big plans for the 2018/2019 year!
