Hello, and welcome, to a new blog that's designed to keep you in touch with the academic events going on around the university, and how you can get involved.
For those of you who don't know me by now, I am Robbie, the Academic Representative on the Societies Executive Committee - I was elected by members of society committees to represent societies, particularly the academic ones, within the Students' Union.
This blog will become a weekly affair, so check back every week to discover what events your societies are putting on, and how you can get involved! And if you want your event – a talk, seminar, nature walk, networking event – advertised here, get in touch, AcademicRep@swansea-union.co.uk.
So, what’s on this week? (w/b 1st December 2014)
On Tuesday, 2nd December at 5.30pm in the SURF Room of Fulton House, the Swansea Employability Academy is hosting a networking event with two Swansea Graduates: Martin Spray CBE (Zoology 1973) and Alexandra Willey (Business Management 2011). Details on the event can be found here. All are welcome!
And on Wednesday, 3rd December at 2pm, the Law Society have a guest speaker, Peter Lynn, giving An Insight Into The Legal Profession, in Glyndwr F. Again, all are welcome.
