About
I’m Emily, a Research Associate and Trainee Health Psychologist at the University of the West of England, Bristol. I currently work on a research project called ‘SURGE’ the Same Day and Urgent Care Workforce Research Partnership. By day, I work on this project looking to explore the issues for the workforce working in urgent and emergency care services. By night, I am undertaking a professional doctorate in health psychology. My work as part of my doctorate looks at how sense of place influences motivation to engage in physical activity. My interests lie in population health, behaviour change, and the role of the built and natural environment in health promotion, health prevention and health care. This session will explore how the environment impacts health and how holistic approaches to healthcare can support long term positive behaviour change.
