Novruz (Nevruz/ Spring Festival/ Bahar Bayramı) is celebrated in Turkic culture as the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new year. It is also associated with the Ergenekon Epic. According to this legend, Turks regained their freedom by emerging from Ergenekon.
