7. Should the Union Affiliate with UKCISA (United Kingdom council for international student affairs) at £301 Per Annum?

UKCISA (UK Council for International Student Affairs) is an advisory body that gives resources for SUs and Universities to improve the international student experience. Membership gives access to their resources, discounts on their training events and support with best practice. International students have recently faced additional challenges as a result of frequently changing visa regulations. We believe we could be doing more to improve the experience of international students at Swansea University, so we require informed knowledge to be able to effectively lobby and campaign for international students, which could be gained through membership/affiliation to UKCISA.

Mae UKCISA (UK Council for International Student Affairs) yn gorff cynghorol sy'n darparu adnoddau ar gyfer Undebau Myfyrwyr a Phrifysgolion i wella profiadau myfyrwyr rhyngwladol. Mae aelodaeth yn sicrhau mynediad at eu hadnoddau, ymchwil, disgowntiau ar ddigwyddiadau hyffordddi, cefnogaeth ac enghreifftiau o arferion da. Yn ddiweddar, mae myfyrwyr rhyngwladol wedi wynebu heriau ychwanegol o ganlyniad i'r rheoliadau visa yn newid yn aml.

Credwn ni y gallen ni wneud mwy i wella profiad myfyrwyr rhyngwladol ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe, ac felly mae angen gwybodaeth y sefydliad i ni allu lobio ac ymgyrchu dros fyfyrwyr rhyngwladol yn effeithiol, a gall y cysylltiad hwn ein helpu.
