Friends of Palestine

Welcome to Swansea University Friends of Palestine! We are a dedicated group of students focused on addressing human rights issues in Palestine. Our goal is to raise awareness about the challenges faced by the Palestinian people and promote peace, justice, and reconciliation in the Middle East. We aim to amplify the voices of Palestinians and those unable to speak for their rights and preserve Palestinian culture in the face of dehumanisation and persecution.

As the Swansea University Friends of Palestine, we offer;

• An inclusive space for individuals interested in supporting the Palestinian liberation cause. 
• Events that appreciate and celebrate Palestinian history and culture, fostering a sense of community and understanding among diverse perspectives.
• Political education, examining our institution's complicity in supporting Israeli colonialism.
• Inclusive discussions, empowering members to be socially conscious and drive institutional change. 
• Raise awareness about the injustices Palestinians face and engage in local and international efforts for positive change.
• Actively campaign for freedom, justice, and equality for the Palestinian people, responding to the call for BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions).
