Recycling...hell yeah!
The Union offers a load of different recycling facillities...which thanks to our SU Staff has recently expanded to include small electrical devices that you can get money back for.
Recycling available at the SU Reception (2nd floor union house, at the end of the bridge near JC's):
To recycle any small electircal devices (phones, iPads, game consoles, ect.) head to http://www.swansea-union.co.uk/recycle/.
Paper, plastic, cans and other waste can all be recycled around campus in the bins around.
Recycling and Bin Days
If your not living in halls you can find out your collection days via http://www.swansea.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=6003 (Just type in your postcode).
Green bags are for cans and metals, paper and cardboard. (Paper and Cardboard needs to go in one bag and cans + metals in a seperate one).
Pink bags are for plastic and go out on the same day as black bags.
Black bags are for everything else.
Food waste can go out both weeks, just stick your green bin out.
If you need any more bags (except black bags) you can head up to the 3rd flood of union house and into the Union Officers rooms where there are loads in the corridor.
You can also order new kitchen waste bins.

If your on campus or in the student village you can use the bins provided in your kitchens, which you will need to empty into the bigger bins dotted around both sites when there full.
You can get both bin bags and clear recycling bags (as well as energy saving light bulbs) from the receptions on both sites.

If you need any more information, have a read through the Uni's Green Guide or give me a shout on environment@swansea-union.co.uk
