  • Hello Mate! Campaign (Completed)
    • 10 Sport Clubs all hosted 'Bring A Mate' sessions throughout the last week of Movember
    • This meant members from the club could bring a friend to try the sport out, and student's not involved at all could also go along with a friend and give it a go
    • The campaign was a great success with many people attending sessions all week long, and clubs getting great clips for promotion
    • This got many student's moving and active which is one of my main goals this year!
    • Some clubs even charged a small participation fee to raise funds for the Movember charity

  • Sports Officer Tries (In Progress)
    • The Sports Officer Tries campaign is where I, your Sports Officer, will go round to each of the club's training sessions and take part in their Sport
    • I will be making content for the Sports Officer Tries video series that will be posted on Instagram, hopefully gaining high engagement
    • When I attend the club's sessions, I will be partly learning about their Sport, partly training with them to get a good feel and understanding of the Sport, and lastly I will be competing against their top athlete in their respective discipline
    • The Sports Officer Tries campaign has 3 main benefits:
      • The videos will be collaborated across multiple SU accounts, meaning that smaller clubs will hopefully gain much more exposure and many more views on their specific videos than they would if they were posted solely on the club's page
      • When I compete against the club's top athlete, it will showcase the talent we have in our sporting community here at Swansea University. They'll be beating me easily most of the time (hopefully not all!)
      • The last main benefit is for myself as your Sports Officer, I will get to try all of your fun sports and gain a better understanding of the challenges you face on a regular basis
