The Swansea branch of the University and College Union (UCU) has recently voted to take further industrial action relating to working conditions and pensions at Swansea University, beginning the week commencing 28th March.

As throughout this period of strikes, we support the University staff in making their voices heard on this national issue; and encourage our students to do so also.

We understand that some students may be concerned over the interruption to their planned teaching schedules and your SU Officers will continue to voice these worries to the University Senior Leadership Team.

SU President, Katie, and Education Officer, Carys will be urging the University to ensure that students will not be assessed on content that they have missed due to the ongoing strike action.

If you would like to speak to Katie or Carys about any concerns, please email fto@swansea-union.co.uk.

Mae cangen Abertawe o’r Undeb Prifysgolion a Cholegau (UCU) wedi pleidleisio’n ddiweddar i gymryd camau diwydiannol pellach yn ymwneud ag amodau gwaith a phensiynau ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe, gan ddechrau’r wythnos yn dechrau 28ain Mawrth.

Fel drwy gydol y cyfnod hwn o streiciau, rydym yn cefnogi staff y Brifysgol i sicrhau bod eu lleisiau'n cael eu clywed ar y mater cenedlaethol hwn; ac yn annog ein myfyrwyr i wneud hynny hefyd.

Rydym yn deall y gallai rhai myfyrwyr fod yn bryderus ynghylch y toriad i’w hamserlenni addysgu arfaethedig a bydd eich Swyddogion UM yn parhau i leisio’r pryderon hyn i Uwch Dîm Arwain y Brifysgol.

Bydd Llywydd UM Katie, a’r Swyddog Addysg Carys yn annog y Brifysgol i sicrhau na fydd myfyrwyr yn cael eu hasesu ar gynnwys y maent wedi ei fethu oherwydd y streic barhaus.

Os hoffech, siaradwch â Katie neu Carys am unrhyw bryderon, e-bostiwch fto@swansea-union.co.uk
