Your New Officer Team

Your 2018/19 Officers

Your Officers are getting into the swing of their new jobs. You'll be seeing a lot of these folks from now on, so here's a quick reminder of what they look like:

   

President
Gwyn Aled

Gwyn was last year's Sports Officer so he understands all things democracy. As President, he plans to increase the SU's presence on Bay Campus, introduce healthier food options for students and provide better financial support for Societies and Sports Clubs.

Education Officer
Chloe Hutchinson

Chloe was a keen member of the political societies before running for Education Officer. In her role, she hopes to cut down on 9am lectures, increase the amount of lectures being recorded and improve the exam and coursework feedback process.

Societies and Services Officer
Chris Freestone

You may recognise him as last year's Societies and Services Officer. Chris has decided to stay in the role and get more stuff done. He plans to make sure cheaper food is available on campus, encourage societies and services to be as eco-friendly as possible and introduce more social space on campus.

Sports Officer
Sophie Hargreaves

Previously Captain of Waterpolo, Sophie's a keen sportswoman and is looking forward to representing our sports clubs. She hopes to increase the amount of water dispensers on campus, improve gym facilities and introduce more intramural leagues.

Welfare Officer
Grace Hannaford

As a student, Grace was a member of the CoppaFeel committee and the Netball club, and she fully understand students' stuggles in Uni. She aims to encourage students to hold fundraising events, increase the amount of water dispensers on campus and introduce metal water bottles to cut down on plastic waste.
