Objectives

The goal of Dydd Gŵyl Dewi | St David’s Day is to deliver a visible, inclusive, and celebratory bilingual event that promotes Welsh language, culture, and national identity across campus. The activity aims to normalise Welsh cultural celebration within university life, strengthen partnerships with Welsh organisations, and provide students with an accessible opportunity to engage with Welsh culture - whether they are fluent speakers, learners, or completely new to Welsh.

The event is intended to contribute to a strong sense of belonging and cultural pride while aligning with wider Welsh-language priorities and national celebrations.
