Aerial Sports is a fun and alternative way to improve strength, balance and flexibility, and a great way to increase your confidence. We are really pleased to announce that as of 18/09/2014, we are officially recognised by the University as a sport.
Our main focus is pole fitness, which we offer weekly classes, but the studio we work with also runs hoop and floor-based (eg. handstands) classes.
Competitions
We consistently have a lot of interest in competitions; we compete in SWPDC, Welsh Dragons, and Pole Varsity annually. We took the win at Varsity 2024 and are keen to reclaim the title this year! Follow our Instagram for updates on practice schedules and competition results.
Classes
Pole classes are run purely for fitness; there will be aches and bruising (but it’s worth it!). Shorts and a vest top are required for each class, as well as loose fitting clothes such as track suit bottoms and a hoodie for cool downs; especially during the winter months. Please read further details as to what to bring and wear on our Instagram before attending.
We are also offering Off the Pole classes, which are designed to support your pole journey! This weekly class will cover strength and conditioning, flexibility and some dance elements to help you build routines ready for competition (or just for fun!).
Memberships
This year we have 2 membership options: Social membership (Off the Pole) which is £15 for the year and allows access to Off the Pole classes and socials, and a Standard membership (On the Pole) which is £20 for the year and which allows access to our Off the Pole classes, socials and weekly pole classes (additional cost but big discounts with this membership).
Remember, as we are a sport, you will also have to pay the Sport Swansea Membership, which will cover you for the year. This will cover your insurance as well as many other perks!
Classes will be paid for termly in a pack. This semester, the classes will run from 14th Jan to 26th Mar, and will cost £82.50 for the 11 weeks. You can also attend 1 open practice session on a Wednesday, Friday or Saturday - this is where you can perfect the skills you've learnt in class!
You must be a member of the club before you can attend a class after the taster sessions.
