Welcome to the Swansea University Triathlon and Cycling Club!
Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned athlete, our Triathlon and Cycling Club is the place for you! We train across all three disciplines - swimming, cycling and running, with sessions tailored for every level of fitness. We represent the University at races across the UK including BUCS, local races and more. If you are looking to complete your first triathlon, work towards a new PB or simply just train in the company of others, then this is the club for you!
As a member of our club you can get involved in a variety of exciting activities including; sea and open water swimming, bike rides surrounded by the beautiful Gower or the Brecon Beacons, as well as sunset runs along the beach to The Mumbles or into Clyne Valley. Don’t worry if you don’t want to do all three sports, the amount that you train is completely up to you! We train at the Wales National Pool twice a week offering lanes for different abilities, social runs and rides also split into ability groups. We also run womens only sessions to encourage the active participation of women within triathlon and cycling.

Joining the club:
Once you've been in touch the next step is to purchase your membership, you'll need to have already purchased Sport Swansea membership. Compulsory for all sports clubs for insurance purposes. Your membership fees cover the cost of running the club and allows us to subsidise the cost of pool hire, training sessions at Carmarthen track, race accomodation and transport among other things. Once you’ve paid membership you’ll be added to the paid members group chat where all the information needed will be posted!
Training Schedule:
- Please note, members are not required to attend all training sessions. The club allows members to take training as serious or as casual as they like, with no pressure but a supportive atmosphere. (Some of us are just here for the socials!)
Monday: Swimming @ WNP 21.00-22.00
Tuesday: Chaingang 7pm @ Amazon
Wednesday: Cycling (Group Rides), 14:00 @ Fulton House
Thursday: Swimming @ WNP 20.30-21.30
Friday: Social Run @ Fulton House 6.30pm
Saturday and Sunday: Potential for parkrun, long social ride and a fast paced social ride (TBC)

Socials
In the past, our sober socials have included laser tag, Limitless Trampoline Park, beach BBQs and pasta parties before races. Our other, themed socials are held on the famous Wind St. The socials are a great way to get to know your fellow triathletes outside of training and are a lot of fun! There’s no pressure to drink but with all the encouragement to join in the fun.

P'un a ydych chi'n ddechreuwr llwyr neu'n athletwr profiadol, ein Clwb Triathlon a Beicio yw'r lle i chi! Rydym yn hyfforddi ar draws y tair disgyblaeth - nofio, beicio a rhedeg, gyda sesiynau wedi'u teilwra ar gyfer pob lefel o ffitrwydd. Rydym yn cynrychioli'r Brifysgol mewn rasys ledled y DU gan gynnwys BUCS, rasys lleol a mwy. Os ydych chi'n edrych i gwblhau eich triathlon cyntaf, gweithio tuag at BB newydd neu hyfforddi yng nghwmni eraill, yna dyma'r clwb i chi!
Fel aelod o'n clwb gallwch gymryd rhan mewn amrywiaeth o weithgareddau cyffrous gan gynnwys; nofio yn y môr ac mewn dŵr agored, reidiau beicio wedi'u hamgylchynu gan harddwch naturiol Gŵyr a Bannau Brycheiniog, yn ogystal â rhediadau machlud haul ar hyd y traeth i'r Mwmbwls neu i Ddyffryn Clun. Peidiwch â phoeni os nad ydych chi eisiau gwneud y tair camp, mae faint rydych chi'n ei hyfforddi yn llwyr i fyny i chi! Rydym yn hyfforddi ym Mhwll Cenedlaethol Cymru ddwywaith yr wythnos gan gynnig lonydd ar gyfer gwahanol alluoedd, rhediadau cymdeithasol a reidiau hefyd wedi'u rhannu'n grwpiau gallu. Rydym hefyd yn cynnal sesiynau i fenywod yn unig i annog cyfranogiad gweithredol menywod mewn triathlon a beicio.
