Welcome to Swansea University Windriders Club Page!
We run a club that is suitable for all, whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced level, doing forward loops!
We run regular weekly trips for beginners and intermediates to our local sailing location, tata steel sailing club. Where windsurf tuition is provided along with full kit available, and safety cover throughout the session. One of the best and safest places to learn! More advanced weekend trips will be regularly available to wave spots along the Gower and South Wales.
This year we are bringing in a kitesurfing section to the club, hence the transition to Swansea Windriders!!
- Taster kite sessions using training kites to learn the basics
- link with local kite school for tuition
- Intermediate and advanced trips at Swansea bay and other locations on the Gower
If you have your own kiting kit, we thoroughly recommend bringing it down and joining the regulars going off bay! First year accomodation is ideal for kit storage as seen on our insta!!
As well as being full-power on the water, were also full-power on the town! We have socials weekly, as well as attending the unique SWA (student windsurfing association) events throughout the year which are located all over the country. They're wild weekend of fun not to be missed! We also run multiple joint socials with other clubs, which are great opportunties to meet others and share intrests.

Come visit our stand at Freshers fayre, its often the most recognisable with loads of boards and sails! Challenges, more information and sign ups will be available on the day!!
